Jewellery is, and has been, the central component around which my entire life has pivoted. Some of my earliest memories as a child involved watching the craftsmen in my father’s jewellery store. I was mesmerised by the materials, their timeless properties and their endless expressive possibilities. You’ll excuse me if I wax a bit poetic, but the earrings and necklaces produced by the artisans at Anais Rose are more than just expensive baubles. They are works of art that enhance the wearer in both obvious and subtle ways. The interplay of materials, the juxtaposition of forms and volumes and the way that the various gemstones absorb, reflect and refract light endow the work with sculptural qualities that are never gaudy or overwhelming, but rather, ethereal and emotionally informative. Is that too much to expect from a pair of earrings or a necklace? Not at all. True craftsmanship always aims high.

Beautiful Stones Ethically Sourced
There are any number of considerations that go into the creation of beautiful, timeless earrings and necklaces. But they would all fall by the wayside if the stones did not measure up. We are acutely aware of this truth and so only use stones carrying a Grade F or higher. This ensures they are capable of holding down the centre of the design and enabling the other aspects to perform their aesthetic functions. But even physical beauty and purity is not enough. We also insist that every diamond that enters the Anais Rose workshop carries a Kimberley Process certificate. This indicates it did not emerge from a conflict zone and is in no way ethically compromised.
